Summer Reading Program 2012

Here's the annotated list of books that are offered for our Summer Reading Program 2012. Most titles have a hotlink to Powell's Books, Multnomah County Library, and Amazon Kindle. If reviews are available from NoveList, a link has been created to it. If you are viewing this from home, NoveList will require a user name (oregon) and a password (oregon). Please read reviews carefully so that you may be confident that ALL THREE of your choices are books that you would like to read!

Little Brother

Summer Reading Program Groundrules:

1. Students will read the list and reviews on the left, and then choose THREE titles, NEW TO THEM, that they wish to read.
2. Students will consult with their parents about their reading choices, and remind them to send Ms. Spooner an email (spoonerp@oes.edu) indicating that they have approved of these choices.
3. Students will make their Summer Reading Program selections by filling out an online form that will be emailed to them. Instructions will accompany the form.
4. Before the end of the school year students will be sent an email with the title of the ONE book that they need to read.
5. Students will read their chosen book over the summer and enjoy it!
6. Students will meet in groups next September to talk about their summer reading book.
